Ancient Greek City situated on the South-Western coast of Sicily. The ruins of Selinunte are located on the territory of Castelvetrano City. Today, all of the involved land forms an archaeological park of 40 hectares. Inside the archaeological site, on the Acropolis area, there are some temples and secondary buildings, others temples are located on a hill not far away. Most of buildings are ruined as a result of the earthquakes that occurred in the Middle Ages. However, some structural interventions allowed to rebuild almost completely the Temple E well-know as Hera’s Temple, and to raise the long sides of the Temple C. The sculptures found in the ruins of Selinunte are mainly exposed at the National Archaeological Museum of Palermo. Exception for the most famous artwork, the Efebo, which is now exposed at the Museum of the Castelvetrano City.

The most significant elements are the theater of Segesta, the temple and the sanctuary.
RISERVA DELLO ZINGARO
Charm and pristine beauty of fauna and flora inside the best natural reserve of Sicily. The stretch of Dolomite limestone that forms the Reserve lies in the western part of the Gulf of Castellammare City, along the eastern side of the peninsula of Capo San Vito overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea.
It‘s an archaeological area characterized by the exceptional state of preservation and a series of important Doric temples of the Hellenistic period. It corresponds to the ancient Akragas, monumental original core of the Agrigento City. Today is the regional archaeological park. Since 1997, the entire area was included in the World Heritage list drawn up by UNESCO. It is considered a popular tourist destination, as well as being the symbol of the city and one of the principal of the island. The archaeological park and landscape of the Temples Valley, with 1300 acres, is the largest archaeological site in the world.
It is situated on the summit of an isolated mountain, 750 mt. above the sea level. Erice is located in a splendid panoramic position and with good weather conditions, you can pinpoint the Etna Vulcan on the horizon. The town has been accomplished as one of the main tourist destination in Sicily. Wonderful synthesis of art, history and landscape, Erice preserves almost intact its medieval town center, perfectly integrated with the morphology of the mountain and harmoniously blended with the beautiful natural surroundings. With mythical origin, Erice (Iruka) was inhabited by the Elimi, who built the town walls and erected a temple dedicated to the Venus worship, goddess of fertility and love.
The Egadi Islands are an archipelago of western Sicily. The archipelago consists of three islands and two islets, plus a series of rocks and cliffs, and is located about 7 km from the western coast of Sicily, between Trapani and Marsala City, in the province of Trapani. They were already known in antiquity with the Latin name ‘Aegates’ which comes from the greek language, and means 'islands of the goats’. On the archipelago there is the Egadi Islands Marine Nature Reserve.
